STUDIOMASTER CD100 CD Player

Connection and Integration with the STUDIOMASTER M500 and M300

The CD100 connects to the M500 or M300 via two cables: a coaxial connection for transmitting the digital audio signal and a data connection for control and interaction. The Revox Control Port CD Player Connection Cable included in the package ensures plug-and-play functionality — simply connected to the USB port of the M500 or M300 and the control input of the CD Player (RS232 Control). Configuration is fully automatic.

The coaxial input is renamed “CD Player” in the system, the icon on the display changes, and all necessary settings in the configurator are applied. The CD100 turns on automatically when selected via the control unit; the CD is read, and the content is displayed in the app. Track selection, playback time, and current status — “Reading,” “Play,” “Pause,” “Stop,” “No CD,” “Read Error” — are all displayed in the app and on the front display of the M300/M500. When switching to a different source, the CD100 automatically turns off.

Note: If the coaxial input is already occupied by another device, a different input (optical or analog) can be selected in the configurator. The CD100 is also backward compatible and can be fully connected to and used with the Revox Joy S119 or S120 MKII network receiver via the CD-Link interface.
