Revox Turntables: Finding the Right One for You

For more than 70 years, Revox has applied studio-grade engineering to everything we make. Our turntable range is no different — each model shares the same foundational commitment to precision, and each one builds meaningfully on the last.

The Foundation

What every Revox turntable has in common

Integrated MC Phono Preamplifier

Every turntable in our range features an integrated high-end MC phono preamplifier — keeping the signal path between cartridge and preamp as short as physically possible. The pickup wire is hand-soldered directly onto the preamp input, with a galvanically isolated power supply eliminating any interference from the motor circuit.

Uncompromising Speed Accuracy

A quartz PLL control system with a contactless optical sensor holds speed to a tolerance of 0.02%, compensating continuously for temperature, belt wear, and friction. All models include a carbon fibre tonearm tube, absorber feet, and a solid acrylic dust cover as standard.

Entry Point

STUDIOMASTER T700 Turntable

From $6,999 AUD — Available in Standard or Black Edition

The T700 is the entry point into our turntable family. The Basic edition (available soon) ships without a cartridge or accessories — ideal for those who already own a cartridge they love, or want to specify their own.

The Standard edition comes fitted with the Ortofon MC Quintet Bronze, along with a tone arm scale, level, record brush, and gloves, so you’re ready to go straight out of the box.

Both share the same exceptional engineering underneath — a platter machined from black POM for rigidity and dimensional stability (no additional mat required), frequency response extending to 80 kHz, channel separation exceeding 80 dB, and total harmonic distortion of just 0.005%.

Step Up

STUDIOMASTER T700 Turntable PRO

The PRO steps up to the Ortofon MC Quintet Black S — the top of the Quintet series, fitted with a Nude Shibata diamond on a Sapphire cantilever. The Shibata profile makes exceptional contact with the groove wall, retrieving high-frequency detail that simpler stylus profiles leave behind.

Balanced XLR outputs at studio level are also added at this tier — a meaningful upgrade if your amplifier or DAC supports balanced connections, effectively eliminating common-mode noise across the signal path.

Heritage Series

Revox T77 Turntable

The T77 draws its design language directly from the iconic Revox B77 MK III reel-to-reel — making it a natural companion for anyone building a Revox-centric listening room. All-aluminum buttons replace touch controls, and the absorber feet are upgraded to the High End bFly PolarX Revox Edition (valued at €800).

A Revox record weight in NAB adapter design and a voucher for a Revox Master Cut Vinyl are included — connecting the owner directly to our master tape archive, and to the culture of recorded music that has always sat at the heart of what we do.

Revox T77 — Alice Cooper Edition

Fifty of these exist. Each is hand-signed and numbered by Alice Cooper himself, finished with a red record weight and accompanied by the Alice Cooper Sound of A Master Cut Vinyl.

Hardware-wise it’s a fully specified T77 — Ortofon MC Quintet Black S, balanced XLR outputs, bFly PolarX feet — elevated into something that sits between high-end audio equipment and cultural artefact.

Summary

Which one is right for you?

New to Revox

The T700 is the natural starting point — complete, refined, and built to a standard that will outlast any system you pair it with. Choose the Basic if you’re bringing your own cartridge, or the Standard for a ready-to-play setup.

Serious Listener

The T700 PRO is worth the step if you want the best cartridge in the Quintet series and a system that can take advantage of balanced outputs. The Shibata stylus will reveal things in your records you haven’t heard before.

Statement Piece

The T77 is for those who want their turntable to connect aesthetically and philosophically to Revox’s analog heritage. And if you’re one of the fifty who own an Alice Cooper edition — you have something genuinely irreplaceable.
